To promote his US showcase, TEN (NCT) hosted a takeover at Gong Gan Cafe in Los Angeles on Friday, October 16. The cafe featured themed drinks, including flower matcha clouds, an official OUTWEST-inspired layout based on his latest single, and a ticket giveaway for his October 24 Los Angeles concert. Around 2 p.m., he surprised fans by stepping behind the counter as a guest barista, taking orders and serving drinks himself.
Goal
Give LA fans a way into TEN’s new era ahead of his US showcase, and make sure the day ran smoothly for TEN and his fans.
Approach
I joined through my relationship with TEN’s management and, given my experience on the Samsung talent activations, stepped in on short notice to help run the day. I worked with the team on guest flow, keeping the fan experience moving from open to close, and coordinated TEN’s arrival and departure.
Outcome
A seamless day for TEN, his team, and his fans, including a surprise guest barista moment, leading into his US showcase.
